I’ve never had an interest in control when it comes to photography. What I was first drawn to was the ability to go out, take pictures, and later discover the same scenes in a completely different, but just as enthralling way.
I love that there are new discoveries not just the first time seeing a picture, but the second, third, or one hundredth time. Things are permitted to remain as they were in another kind of tangibility. New worlds are built, and there are endless discoveries to be made in them. What is birthed in this new form is exciting because it is so far away from my control. The nature of the resulting image is decided first by chance, second by the instrument, and third by me if I’m lucky.
If possible, all I would like to do is continue being a small part of building these worlds, and exploring them further.
